A collection of German, Hungarian and British artists linked it would seem, by a love of cinematic strings, heavy funk & dub basslines and to-the-front percussion. The Hungarian element is especially orchestrated, which can be a bit too OTT at times, but this is countered by the British artists - Aim, ATFC, Crazy Penis and Layo & Bushwacka! - the latter's track 'Deep South' is abit of a modern day classic, combining gospel, electro and dub in a quite enthralling manner. If you enjoy a good mash up of styles, sans vocals, this is well worth a listen. |
