Its just under a year since the release of 'Kid A' as Radiohead look set to carry on down anti-rock avenue. Latest offering Amnesiac has 'the songs that didn't fit on 'Kid A' according to the band. While it is definitely not the Bends 2 there is some clarity in their new storming approach. Melodic guitars and decipherable vocals can be found on tracks like 'knives out', 'morning bell' and 'dollars and cents' (which was one of the internets most downloaded MP3s). 'Amnesiac' is a real hybrid of styles, from it's Eno-esque free form electronics to off-key slow swoon piano and bass.This great album will push pull and test listeners all around the world. Leaving only one question, where will they take us next?
