Sparklehorse open up the instrument vaults and unleash an album that runs strong parallels to Granddaddy's Sophtware Slump, with it's eclectic tinkering and kooky themes. It's A Wonderful Life has a string of dreamy experimental tracks with analogue parameters that help create the albums luminous mood. Also roped into this musical fanfare are P J Harvey and Nina Persson (Cardigans) who both add their lush vocals to the tracks 'Eyepennies' and 'Piano Fire' while Tom Waits drops in to add his surly vocals to 'Dog Door'. The now drug free and walking front man Mark Linkous has created a magical garden of song for others to rest in and enjoy.
