Swedish five-piece rock band The Hives have been taking the UK by storm as of late, with recent press a result of a release in the UK on the Poptones label (combining tracks from this album and one prior). We have instead opted to offer you the complete rock 'n' roll glory that is 'Veni Vidi Vicious' (a combination of supply, price and the fact that this original album kicks ass). Originally recorded in 1999 it has taken the rest of the world a while to catch up with The Hives and their raucous brand of high octane rock (with the recent UK infactuation due in no small part to last years impact of the Strokes and the White Stripes). In fact if you're searching for a description, The Hives sit firmly between these two acts, with by all accounts a blistering live set to match. For those about to rock we salute you. Recommended.
