Great mix CD from the godfather of drum&bass and, along with DJ Hype's 'FabricLive 03', easily one of the two best packages in this genre this year. London's finest underground club Fabric have been pumping out the mixes over the last 18 months with their FabricLive (Friday) and Fabric (Saturday) mix compilations from their (pretty damn impressive) roster of resident DJs, including James Lavelle, Terry Francis, Howie B and the aforementioned Hype and Grooverider.
One of the original drum&bass pioneers since he first came to prominence during the 1989 "oribital" rave scene, Grooverider delivers the goods once again with a mix of light and dark shades, impeccably sequenced and blended, and featuring several exclusives. Peshay, Total Science, Bad Company, Digital and Dillinja all feature along with many other familiar names. Get this and DJ Hype's 'FabricLive.03' for an up-to-the-minute snapshot of where drum&bass stands in 2002. |
