Featuring all original material, this self financed release from Plimmerton (just out of Wellington NZ) composer and pianist Kevin Clark is an original and entertaining slice of very listenable jazz. With an ear for the rhthyms of South Africa (Clark's original homeland), and the samba feel of South America (where Clark has travelled and studied), a top notch set of local jazz muso's, plus excellent production from Dick le Fort, this vibrant recording is world class, with appeal way beyond simply the jazz fan. Currently getting plenty of local press, and plenty of national radio support. Recommended.
