Covering their complete career - from the essential '3 Feet High And Rising' through to the excellent "comeback" albums, 2000's 'AOI: Mosaic Thump' and 2001's 'AOI: Bionix' - this set amply demonstrates the impact and influence of De La Soul on the hip hop community over the last decade or so, as well as their inherent ability to put together absurdly catchy and addictive pop songs without ever compromising their distinctive sound and musical agenda. Whether you are a committed hip hop fan or not this is an essential addition to any contemporary pop music collection, and pure unadulterated listening joy. If you live in Auckland - make sure you check 'em out. Recommended.
