Interesting title for one of the most laid-back collections of music you'll come across this year, "we travel at a snail's pace with regular stops for lie-downs and tea" would be more appropriate. Based out of Brighton on Britain's exquisite south coast, James and femme singer Jesse have crafted a dozen tracks of equal parts 60's cinematic width, lush 21st century production and composition, and oddball 70's choral vocal layering - like the old Coke song "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing" if you get my drift. The obvious comparisons are with Morcheeba and Groove Armada, but in reality it's closer to basically the hugest tunes either of those acts ever dropped, "Rome Wasnt Built In A Day" and "At The River" respectively. The result is a good long-player with a strong sense of style and direction, perfect for long road trips, dozy Sunday afternoons and late night misadventures. Recommended.
