A personal selection of songs and arias from Auckland soprano Gina Sanders. She is joined on this CD by John Wells (organ), Sarah McDowall (violin and cello) and Philip Lloyd (trumpet). Love's Philosophy contains the first ever recording of 'Rain' by New Zealand composer Brigid Bisley, set to words by poet Hone Tuwhare. This is unusual in that it is sung into a Steinway grand piano with the damper off, so the accompaniment is generated by the voice alone.
