One of New Zealand's most successful rock acts of the last decade return with their fourth album - One World.
Following the multi-platinum success of their first three releases, Supersystem, Communicate and Playground Battle, it's hard not to see this album achieving similar sales figures, as the band go from strength to strength with the quality of both their songwriting and production.
Led by the gravelly-voiced singer-songwriter James Reid (sounding at times like a mix between Bruce Springsteen and Bono), The Feelers don't muck about with their tried and true formula for crowd-pleasing hits. From the stadium rock epic of the album's title track, to 'On a High' (an Oasis-esque rock'n'roll stomper) and 'Washed Away' (the sort of acoustic sing-along that Reid seems to toss off with disconcerting ease), the trio have once again fused the various elements of modern rock into a high-energy, high-volume package that will keep their existing fanbase happy, and result in the sort of high-rotate radio play that will no doubt win them an even larger audience.
