NZ's most iconic songwriter makes a welcome return, following up 2005's hit album 'Available Light'. For 'Anotherland', Dobbyn has chosen to work with legendary Dub Producer Adrian Sherwood (On-U Sound's sonic architect) and Skip Macdonald (Little Axe, Tackhead). Fans will be struck immediately by a difference in sound, with some songs taking a full on Reggae direction (injected with Dobbyn's distinctive flavour of course). This should hardly come as a surprise, as Dobbyn has constantly evolved his sound since beginning his solo career proper in the late 80s. An extremely strong record from an artist who, despite having nothing to prove, shows he still has plenty to offer. Hats off Mr. Dobbyn!
