Long anticipated and set to be highly celebrated, Auckland's Decortica look destined to change the aged mould of the New Zealand rock scene with their debut album, A New Aesthetic. Recorded in a Raglan farmhouse with esteemed producer Dave Holmes (Jakob, Gramsci, Battle Circus), Raglan's unpredictable atmosphere and weather - which swung between serenity and violent storms - resonated with the songs. The final result is an 11 track amalgamation of changing moods, alternate tunings and layers of harmonies. Lead single, Peace May Come (already a staple on C4), sits alongside the haunting melodies of Synapse, the curious, somber L and live favorites Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and Macchina.
